Indonesia, Java. - Mount Merapi

Mt Merapi tour today.. a visit to the Mini Museum Sisa Hartaku really gets you thinking about how it must have been 7 years ago. Very optimistic messages despite having lost their homes.

Looking at the surrounding area, it's all green now and can't really see very well that just 7 years ago this area was devastated by the volcano eruption. Only the museum serves as a reminder..

A clock frozen at just after 12.00.. the exact time when Merapi molten larva struck this spot.

Located on the island of Java, about 40km north of Yogyakarta, Merapi is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia.

This family's house is now a museum showing the devastating effect of Merapi's eruption in 2010

Disaster is not the end of everything..

Being grateful having survived this major disaster, our very survival has made us stronger and strive to carry on.

Imagine the heat!
