We entered Italy at a small Mountain Village of  Reschen/Resia, near the Northern tip of Lake Resia Rechen see from Austrian Border at Naunders. Our intended destination is the Dolomite Mountain ranges in the East thence to Verona 

This drive is from the Border at Raisen to Fukel Pass near Valdarao and Pedero

Resia/Rechen Pass 1455m

Old Resia was submerged under water, when an artificial lake was created in 1950. Today, the new village of Resia is located up on the Pass itself, connecting Austrian Tyrol with Italy's South Tyrol.

         Part of a Netflix horror/suspence film was shot here at Lake Resia Rechen  The famous          submerged Bell tower is one of the visible remains of Old Resia Village, Resia Lake               was created in 1950 

The village of Kastell Castelbello is located amidst apple orchards and vineyards along the River Adige

                                        Apple is a major cash crop of Castelbello
