At Bakelalan (Malaysia) / Longbawan (Indonesia) border, mainly used by locals in this area. The timber road track starts from a junction near Lawas, Northern Sarawak. This mud road leads to the indonisian Border at Lunbawang
The dirt road connecting Ba'kelalan and Longbawan in Indonesia. This is not an international border crossing, though.
We travelled the entire distance on dirt road / loggers timber road. The roads were wet and slippery. The AT tyres we had on won't allow us to drive faster to be safe. It took us 3 days of deliberate leisurely driving, enjoying the scenery en route to reach the village of Ba'kelalan.
On our first night, we stayed at the logging camp.
On the second night, we set up camp at a gazebo on a hill top.
P.S: we lost a lot of the photos we took on this trip.
We will add more photos once we manage to recover them,
Note the boundary marking board ..it says this the border line between Bekala'an and Lung Midang, Indonesia
